SUMMARY:Shaping your Organizational Culture: how you can make it happen
DESCRIPTION:Description:\nLet’s admit it: ‘organizational culture’ can be fuzzy to pin down. In this workshop\, we ‘demystify’ organizational culture. You will learn how you can ‘see’ culture\, how it shows up in practical ways\, and what you can do as a leader or manager when you want to influence or shape culture. \nAttendees get answers to important questions such as: \n\nWhat in the current culture of your nonprofit supports your organization’s strategic direction? And what does not?\nWhy it’s important to heed any gap between your espoused (aspirational) culture and the real in-use behaviors\, habits and actions.\nFinally\, you will walk away with practical levers and tools for culture change as well as clarity on what are the first critical actions you can take following the session.\n\nWe will keep you engaged through the use of individual reflection exercises\, take-home worksheets and plenary as well as small group work based on discussion prompts and case studies. \nLearn more about our certificate programs! \nFacilitator:\n \nTosca Bruno-van Vijfeijken has worked on (inter)national nonprofit and philanthropy issues for 30 years\, as a speaker\, consultant\, coach\, team coach\, facilitator and author. Her work focuses on leadership development\, team coaching\, change management\, governance and organizational culture. \nWhile her practitioner background mainly was grounded in the international development sector (World Bank\, United Nations\, think tanks and nonprofits)\, her research\, senior leadership development as well as change management work has focused on cross-sectoral New York state level as well as international nonprofit\, NGO and philanthropic organizations.
