DESCRIPTION:Description:\nPerformance Management is NOT performance appraisal. Performance management is a continuous process that promotes and improves employee effectiveness through a regular feedback loop that considers both an employee’s work objectives and their overall contribution to the organization. More than just an annual performance review\, performance management is the ongoing practice of setting objectives\, assessing progress and providing on-going coaching and feedback to ensure that employees are meeting their objectives and career goals. This workshop is designed to enhance a manager’s capacity to develop his/her employees and benefit the organization through its growth and contributions. \nIn this workshop\, participants will: \n\nLearn the continuous process of performance management (planning\, monitoring\, developing\, performance review\, reward)\nDiscuss HR’s role in the performance management process\nReview tools for effective performance reviews that align with strategic personal and organizational goals\n\nLearn more about our certificate programs! \nFacilitator:\n \nLee developed her expertise in human resources\, interpersonal relations and change management in positions in government\, healthcare and the nonprofit social services sector. Prior to launching LWB Consulting and joining Support Center as affiliate consultant in 2016\, Lee served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at The Educational Alliance where she transformed the HR department from a transactional\, specialty-driven format to a strategic\, business partner structure. In that role\, she also supervised the Facilities and IT Departments. In addition to HR\, her expertise includes corporate communications\, program implementation and hospital administration in the non-profit and healthcare worlds of New York City. Lee is an anchor facilitator for Support Center’s Supervisory Essentials training and facilitates additional workshops around performance management\, interviewing\, and leadership. She also provides customized staff development and team building sessions and consulting around HR policies and practices\, staff structure\, and board effectiveness. Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree from Barnard College and began her career in City government working in the Mayor’s office for Mayor Ed Koch on social service issues. \n\n\nWe request that organizations limit their registrations to 5 participants per workshop.
