The Bowery Mission is a holistic, Christian faith-based organization dedicated to serving people who are experiencing homelessness.

Working at our Women’s Center, the Social Work Supervisor (Supervisor) is a key member of the Clinical Services team. The Supervisor will develop integrated, faith-based clinical services that equip residential female clients to make progress on their independent living goals.  The Supervisor will provide comprehensive leadership and supervision to clinical staff and interns, and coordinate all services related to the social and mental health needs of clients including clinical evaluations, assessments, and external referrals that support a holistic continuum of care.

The Supervisor responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:

Carry small caseload of assigned clients
Provide clinical team with daily guidance, support, and supervision
Ensure clinical interventions align with overall program objectives and comply with department protocols
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and external providers in support of client goal achievement
Review case records for accuracy, completeness and adherence to regulations and procedures
Quality assurance review of clinical interventions, services, and procedure
Conduct timely trainings for professional and clinical skill development
Carry caseload of assigned clients
Conduct holistic individual and group counseling/therapy sessions
Facilitate/lead classes
Complete psychosocial assessments
Coordinate intake and outreach processes with internal and external referral partners
Manage crises and subsequent debriefs with team

Reports to: Associate Director, Clinical Services

Requirements:

Embraces the organization’s Statement of Faith
NY State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Previous experience working with low-income families and individuals, mental illness, and/or substance abuse
Commitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity
The ability to build effective relationships / partnerships
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Proven flexibility, multi-tasking, and problem-solving ability
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
Preferred:

3+ years social work or equivalent related experience in a residential setting
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a medical, substance use, mental health and/or community-based setting strongly preferred
Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Publisher, Access
NY State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Knowledge of regulatory body policies, procedure
