REPORTS TO: Director of Operations & Compliance
STATUS: Full-time
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

The HR Manager is responsible for supporting the achievement of organizational objectives by partnering with key stakeholders and providing HR services to ensure best practices are consistently adopted across the organization. The manager will oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff; consult with senior leadership executives on strategic planning; and serve as a link between an organization’s management and employees. Proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the team.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, and retention
Act as resource to managers & provide guidance/support on a variety of HR topics
Bridge management & employee issues by overseeing employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
Update leadership on any changes in employment laws, regs & guidelines
Manage the talent acquisition process including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
Ensure compliance on all benefit plans and other related HR initiatives
Liaise with service provider on benchmarking and design of healthcare plans
Administer the 401k plan including non-discrimination testing and filing of 5500
Promote a safe work environment
Implement, evaluate and update HR policies, procedures, programs and practices
Create training and development programs and initiatives that provide internal growth opportunities for employees
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance including employment records and files
Complete management and other reporting as required
SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):

Ability to engage in minor or moderate physical labor
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Adept at using Microsoft Outlook programs/applications
