Support Center Institute for Strategic Planners

There is a significant demand for strategic planning across the nonprofit sector, and the discipline is constantly evolving. Through this institute, Support Center aims to bring new voices and new perspectives to the field of strategic planning.

 

The Strategic Planning Institute is designed for nonprofit consultants who are particularly interested in honing their skills and confidence in leading strategic planning processes. The resources and curriculum are based upon decades of work in the area of strategic planning working with a wide range of organizations. Over the course of two days and additional virtual sessions, participants will gain insights into the evolving field of strategic planning, engage with key frameworks, and apply lessons to their own practice all within a learning community of peers.

 

Are You Interested In Engaging In Strategic Planning Capacity Building? If So, Are You:
  • A practicing consultant with two or more years of experience
  • Enthusiastic about cocreating strategic plans with organizations that are more inclusive and
    equitable
  • Excited to learn with and from Support Center faculty and peers in a cohortbased
    experience
  • Curious and willing to engage with strategic planning, decisionmaking, and facilitation
    frameworks and principles

 

Cost, Participant & Program Information
The institute fee is $900. A limited number of partial scholarships are available on an “as needed” basis. The two–day program runs from 9:00AM to 5:00PM ET at 32 Old Slip, 24th floor in lower Manhattan. Participants must commit to attending both days. There will be one followup virtual session with Support Centeraffiliated consultants to provide additional context for consulting and capacity building around strategic planning.
