Phil Salerno
Phil Salerno is the principal of PhilipS3 Nonprofit Consultants. Since 2023, Phil has provided counsel through interim leadership, capacity building initiatives and strategy development. He has worked with behavioral health centers, museums, food pantries, organizations that assist individuals with special needs and most recently, the Ronald McDonald House in Westchester County .
Prior to founding his own firm, Phil had a distinguished 35-year tenure as President and Chief Development Officer at Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation, where he led transformative growth in philanthropic support, board engagement, and community impact.
Phil is driven by a core belief in helping others achieve what they may have not thought possible. Throughout his career, Phil has dedicated himself to improving the lives of children and families. His leadership roles at the Hospital Foundation as well as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Georgia Chapter), Paterson Diocese, and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center reflect his deep commitment to health, education, and community well-being.
He has also contributed his expertise as a board member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Center for Nonprofits of New Jersey, Lead New Jersey, the Association of Fundraising Professionals – NJ Chapter, Westfield Rotary, and the Waterworks Conservancy.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Phil enjoys biking, cooking, reading, attending concerts and Yankee games, learning Spanish, and spending time with family and friends. He and his wife, Christine, reside in Hawthorne, New Jersey.
