Mission-Driven (adjective): Grounded and motivated by a sense of purpose, often in service to a community, the environment, or the arts.
Developed from research on health in the workplace, behavioral psychology, and organizational management, this interactive workshop addresses the specific well-being needs of mission-driven workforces. With burnout on the rise, nonprofit leaders must learn to prioritize their own well-being and to empower their teams to do the same. This workshop will address the ways that work can affect our physical, mental and emotional health and teaches practical, actionable techniques that promote well-being in the workplace at both the individual and organizational level.
Participants will:
Aubrie Fennecken is a work & well-being strategist and nonprofit fundraising specialist. She founded Opportunity Kitchen, where she leverages a decade of experience in nonprofit management to tailor health and well-being solutions for mission-driven companies and passionate professionals. Aubrie is a certified health coach and registered fundraising counsel, holds a BA in Psychology from American University and an MFA in Performing Arts Management from CUNY Brooklyn College. She’s worked with companies whose budgets range from $250,000 through $25 million. She’s lectured and led workshops at CUNY Brooklyn College, the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York, at nonprofits, government agencies, and small businesses. Her writing on well-being in mission-driven workplaces has been featured on Thrive Global.
