Sarah BJ Sung (BJ) is an expert in strategy and design of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, corporate philanthropy and nonprofit management. Ms. Sung is a seasoned executive who has experience working in banking and utility sectors. She is a diversity & inclusion champion who worked on innovative CSR programs to elevate company’s presence and increase its philanthropic reach. An expert in the nonprofit sector, she also serves on the boards of New York City leading nonprofits. Ms. Sung received her certificate in Corporate Citizenship Management from the Boston College for Corporate Citizenship, Carroll School of Management.

Ms. Sung founded Pinnacle Social Impact consultancy to help companies and nonprofits address challenges in impact philanthropy, community development and programs benefiting the community for Social Impact change. Most recently, Ms. Sung worked in the Public Affairs department of Con Edison, Inc. and built strategic relationships with nonprofit partners to strengthen support for S.T.E.M (science, technology, engineering and math) and civic engagement programs. Her contributions include concept and implementation of STEM festivals, STEM scholarship program, mentorship & training projects and employee volunteer recognition program and many more. Programs she designed led to an increase in Con Edison’s standing for CSR and garnered many recognitions and awards including listing on Dow Jones Sustainability Index.   Ms. Sung was formerly Vice President at Citi Global Consumer Bank working in the international sector leading CSR efforts. She managed over $4 million dollars for philanthropy grants and hundreds of thousand dollars in business sponsorships. Nationally known relationships she managed include Habitat for Humanity, Operation Hope and Enterprise Development to name a few. Projects she oversaw and implemented contributed to meeting regulatory requirements and garnering satisfactory community reinvestment act (CRA) rating. Prior to her global assignment, she was responsible for program implementation in areas of community development and nonprofit capacity building. Her tenure at Citi Private Bank included global banker training for Know Your Client (KYC) compliance and rollout of client relationship management (CRM) tools.

Ms. Sung is Chair Emerita and the former chairwoman of the Korean American Family Service Center (KAFSC), a leading nonprofit organization helping women and children to lead safe and healthy lives free from domestic violence. Under her over a decade leadership, the organization tripled its operating budget, merged with another nonprofit to efficiently utilize resources, obtained capital funding for a shelter, expanded its staff to over 70 people, and increased support and services to the Tristate area. Currently, KAFSC is undergoing a $1.5 million-dollar capital project to rebuild its emergency shelter.

Ms. Sung is passionate about helping people and communities and is actively involved in New York City community and volunteers with many nonprofits. She serves on the board of the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York, an umbrella organization representing over 1,500 nonprofits and was formerly a board member of the Korean American Community Foundation. Ms. Sung was also a founding member and Co-Chair of Asian Pacific Heritage Network at Citi Private Bank. Her volunteer work also includes serving as Vice President of Korean Women International Network New York chapter, an initiative of South Korean Government Ministry of Gender Equality.

Chrissy is the principal at Compass Consulting + Coaching. She is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work with nearly 20 years in the social service and nonprofit fields. She brings her honed social work skills, solutions-oriented approach, and a transformational vision to all her work. As a long-term leader in the social service sector and adjunct professor, she has specific expertise in program design, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) development, grant writing, licensing/accreditation, quality improvement, strategic planning and data management.

Chrissy currently serves on the Board of Directors of Norwalk ACTS, a collective impact organization aiming to transform systems by ensuring resources, policies, practices, and power structures actively dismantle racism and drive equitable outcomes for every child and young person in Norwalk, CT.

Frank Schneiger is an organizational navigator and affiliated consultant at Support Center. Schneiger was born and grew up in Milwaukee and is a devoted New Yorker. He is a graduate of University of Wisconsin Madison in History and Political Science and holds a master’s and Ph.D. in International Affairs from Columbia University. At Support Center, Schneiger has provided organizational navigation services to start-up social enterprises receiving grants from the New Jersey Office of Faith Based Initiatives and food security grantees of the Tepper Foundation in New Jersey.

Schneiger has served in executive leadership positions in government, business and the nonprofit sector. He served as Executive Assistant to Congressman James Scheuer of New York, as Assistant Health Commissioner of the City of New York, Executive Director of the Federal Region Two Children's Services Resource Center, and Director of Human Services for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under Governor Michael Dukakis. He served on the executive committee of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, helping to transform it to a pre-eminent industrial/post-industrial park. He has been involved in planning for the NYC Departments of Health, Health & Hospitals, Correction, and Housing, supporting multiple initiatives including reintegration of prison health services and initiatives on stress reduction among front-line DOC officers and supervisors. He currently serves on the board of Project Guardianship, a social justice initiative of the Vera Institute of Justice that provides support to older adults and people with disabilities and mental illness in all five boroughs of NYC.

Building on his years of experience across various organizations and sectors, Schneiger founded and is the acting president of Frank Schneiger and Associates, a 35-year-old planning, organizational development and crisis management firm serving the public, non-profit and small business communities. Schneiger writes a regular on-line column, Manager’s Journal, and is the author of two works of fiction and a memoir on the changing nature of work. A recent series of columns, “Why Things Don’t Work” was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for on-line commentary.

Janice Alderman has worked in development for more than 35 years. Through JAZ Consulting, she has provided more than 30 organizations with annual campaigns, major gift, foundation and corporate fundraising consulting, managed grant writing, lead strategic planning initiatives, created communications strategy, trained board members in development, aided in board development and provided copywriting. Prior to that, she was Vice

President of Development for Children’s Aid and Family Services in Paramus, NJ and served as the Director of Development for Women in Cable and Telecommunications.

Kalpana Bhandarkar ​has nearly 20 years of experience in health care and civic engagement. ​Within health care, ​Kalpana has dedicated her professional career to improving access to quality health care​ for people living in low-resource settings, having held leadership positions at ​three New York City hospitals and having worked in health care consulting. She has also long been engaged in advancing child and adolescent advocacy initiatives in New York State and the United States.​

Kalpana has advised non-profits throughout her career and is currently an active Board member of three non-profit organizations: ERASE Racism, a civil rights organization focused on fair housing and educational equity; Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy, a statewide child advocacy organization working to advance policies for children and families in low-resource settings; and She Is the Universe, a global leadership development organization for teen girls.

Kalpana serves as Principal of Spring Bhee Advisory, delivery advisory and consulting services for health care and non-profit organizations. She holds a Masters of Public Health and Masters of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelors of Arts from Tufts University.

Keith M. Little is a hands-on leader with over 40 years of experience at State, City, local government organizations and in the nonprofit human services sector, Mr. Little brings considerable expertise in the provision services to children, families, and adults via his work in mental health, health care, early childhood education, child welfare, substance abuse, intellectually and developmentally disabled, and juvenile justice programming. In his most recent position, Mr. Little is the Founder and Principle for Kemili Solutions. In this role, he has served as the Interim Executive Director of the Children’s Law Center, where he successfully led the organization through the recruitment of a new Executive Director; served as the liaison to the Board of Directors; ensured organizational stability; led the Executive Team in implementing a development strategy to advance fundraising efforts; prioritized financial monitoring and viability; played a key role in union negotiations which led to a contractual agreement. He is also an Executive Coach for new executive leaders; and the Director of the InUnity Alliance Leadership Development Program for BIPOC professionals.

Mr. Little served as the President & CEO of SCO Family of Services, where he was responsible for oversight of the agency’s extensive continuum of residential and community-based child welfare, early childhood, youth development, family support, special needs, and homeless services.He has held senior organizational and program leadership positions at the New York State Office of Mental Health.  He served as Associate Commissioner and Deputy Director at NYS Office of Mental Health, where he was responsible for the oversight of State Operations for children’s services. His experience includes posts at the Jewish Board, Edwin Gould Service for Children and Families, the New York City Department of Health, and the Nassau County Youth Board.

Mr. Little earned an MPA from Baruch College, City University of New York, and a bachelor’s degree from University of Bridgeport. He sits on the Boards of Directors of Good Shepherd Services; the Black Agency Executives; CASES; MercyFirst; and Brownsville Partnership.

Wendy Seligson is an Affiliate Consultant with the Support Center and founder of Wendy Seligson Consulting, a nonprofit management consulting firm specializing in business and financial planning, organizational systems development, coaching and professional development and strategic approaches to managing risk. With over twenty years as senior executive and chief operating officer in New York City nonprofits, Seligson is experienced at managing complex nonprofit organizations. As the Associate Executive Director of the 14th Street Y from 2007 through 2015 , Seligson managed the Y through a period of rapid growth in which the program size and revenue doubled over five years; she is particularly proud of her work at the Y building high functioning teams and mentoring and developing talented middle-managers to achieve these results. Seligson has a JD from New York University School of Law and an undergraduate degree from Duke University.
